Neighborhood Services Director
Town of Capitol Heights
The Incorporated Town of Capitol Heights is seeking candidates for the position of Neighborhood Services Director. The Town is seeking individuals with a positive, can-do attitude to work in a professional, municipal government environment. Individual must be detail-oriented and enjoy working with and for people. The position will entail extensive outdoor activities, field work, interacting with the public and general contractors, and project management responsibilities. The Neighborhood Services Director is responsible for issues related to Code Enforcement, Home Improvement, Community Complaints and Concerns, Property Abatement, Blight Removal, Zoning, Facilities Maintenance, Landscaping, Snow Removal and Community Standards. Other duties as assigned.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of computers (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, Windows, the Internet). Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as a Neighborhood Services Director, Code Enforcement Department Director, Facilities Maintenance Manager or similar position. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Job will require some evening and weekend hours, particularly Monday evenings for Council meetings. Salary negotiable.
